Soupe à l’oignon gratinée 

Traditional French onion soup, sourdough toast, 24-month aged Comté cheese.


Tartelette de crottin de chèvre

Warm goats’ cheese in a delicate pastry case, poached pear, wild rocket.


Parfait de foie de volaille au Porto 

Chicken liver paté made with Port  

Main Courses

Entrecôte flambée au Cognac, sauce au poivre vert 

Sirloin steak, Cognac, green peppercorn sauce, chips

(The steak may be ordered rare, medium, medium-well or well done) 

Filet de merlu à la biscayenne 

Griled fillet of hake with a biscayenne sauce of peppers, onions, piment d’Espelette served with duchess potatoes.


Suprême de volaille, sauce forestière


Supreme of chicken served in a sauce with mushrooms, bacon, petits onion, tarragon and chips  



Tarte des demoiselles Tatin 

Caramelized apple tart, served with vanilla ice cream 

Terrine de trois chocolats 

Milk, dark and white chocolate terrine, served with crème anglaise 

Assiette de fromages  

a selection of four French cheeses (unpasteurized) from our French cheese supplier 

A set menu is served at lunchtime and for guests who wish to order in the evening on Beaujolais Day. We request a deposit of £10 per person for Beaujolais day, with pre-orders and payment of the balance of the meal by 1 November. Drinks may be ordered and paid for separately on the day. We serve our usual range of French wines on Beaujolais Day (by the glass, carafe and bottle) as well as Beaujolais Nouveau.


All of our dishes are made in house and can be adapted where necessary to accommodate food allergies or intolerances. All desserts are suitable for vegetarians. Vegan choices are available upon request. All dishes containing wine contain sulphites.
